SOCIETY PEDIGREE SECTION
Established in 1905 the society is one of the oldest within Wales. The breed was developed in the 13th
century due to the need for white wool for the textile trade.
The breed was mainly found in the South and West Wales before becoming one of the main breeds in
Wales due to its good quality, wool, hardiness and deep nature of The Pedigree Welsh Mountain Sheep.
The Pedigree Welsh Mountain Sheep is economical, milky and tough. They are excellent mothers, who
require little to no help during lambing.
The Pedigree Welsh Mountain Sheep can live off a variety of habitats from your uplands to your lower
grounds.
